MD2 WEEK10

This week, we added the technical aspects to the game flow chart. After meeting with Shaun, it was made aware to us that the game flow chart needed more detail. It needed to be more specific. After the meeting we went on to add in game play directions and movements that will need to be coded into the game. We used arrows for drag and drop actions and circles for tap actions. Updated Gameflow Chart After finalising the game flow chart, we began to research into tutorials that we could use for the interactivity of the game, such as drag and drop. Below are some of the video's we watched. Hopefully these can be of aid to us when we code the the game in Adobe Animate. We also looked into settings pages in e-learning games for children. We were unsure exactly what to put into the settings page of our game so we looked for inspiration from other e-learning games such as duolingo. Name Tag, Web Source: Wikimedia Hello! My name is Nicole, I am 19 years old. The best class I took last semester was Design Process and Practice. I really liked that class because I find graphic design really interesting. I enjoyed being creative and having the freedom to create what I liked. I also enjoyed learning about the whole process behind design in the industry, it was exciting to learn the real life process that graphic designers use everyday. It made me look forward to learning more about it and working in the industry. Multimedia Project Research

Cartoon Children Faces. Web Source: publicdomainpictures After discussion with my team, we have decided to create an e-learning game. Our target audience will be 4-6 year old's. In the game, children will learn subjects such as English, Irish, and Maths etc. We want to make this game as interactive as possible. We don't want the child to feel like they're playing a boring education game, we want them to enjoy the playing the game so much that they forget they're playing an educational game. It will be similar to duolingo but will be a much simpler version for kids. We intend to make this game as visually appealing to kids by using bright colours and simple graphics.
