Sensational games engage the player's senses. The game is designed so realistic that the player almost feels like they can feel and hear the goings on in the game.
Fantasy games create an environment within the game that is completely made up but provide an escape from reality.
Narrative games involve a story, this story can be followed throughout the game or just the story could be mentioned at the beginning of the game to give the player background information to the game.
Challenge games provide an obstacles for the player, which they must figure out and get around.
Fellowship games involve others, the only way one can play the game properly is by having someone else to play with ie. Monopoly
Discovery games involve user exploration. The user must explore and learn about the game world they are playing in and overcome obstacles in order to move up in the game.
Expression games enable the player to express themselves in order to win the game ie Charades or Pictionary.
Submission games demand the attention of the user in real time.
This article tells of how "If a caveman found it fun, you'll find it fun." This playing off the fact that we find learning fun. Many years ago when cavemen were trying to survive they found the learning process that went with hunting and gathering fun.
All the elements of game that we find fun can be traced back to ancient times. Collection, Spatial Reasoning, Advancement, Griefing and Finding Shortcuts. These can be traced back to caveman times when these people were looking for means to survive.

Youtuber's are affecting the way we play games. Today, Youtuber is very popular platform.
The most famous Youtuber's on Youtube have started off by recording them playing games on screen, for example Pewdiepie. He is a millionaire Youtuber who has earned all his millions by playing games and recording his commentary throughout.
"Game developers aren't just thinking about whether their game is good to play, but also whether it is good for others to watch." Game developers are now taking into account how entertaining their game is to watch and not just play.
Many Youtube's review new and upcoming games. A lot of people will watch these videos to see whether or not they like the game or if they would consider buying it. Youtube has become a selling point for Game Developers and is a means of advertisement for their games too.
